Being there was honestly such an amazing journey. I loved the culture, the diversity, and how open and free the students were it really gave me a fresh perspective on learning.
What made it truly special was getting the best of both worlds: meaningful university life along with the freedom to explore Dubai, experience its culture, and learn beyond the classroom. Every day felt exciting, inspiring, and full of growth both personally and professionally.

In this Global Immersion program, we were introduced to the exhilarating world of Modern Aerospace Engineering and Elements of Robotics! It was an awe-inspiring journey through the realms of aeronautics and robotics, where we explored the cutting-edge technologies that define the future of aviation and automation. Over the course of this program, we delved into a diverse array of topics, ranging from the fundamental principles of flight to the intricacies of robotics, which allowed us to gain an in-depth understanding of the dynamic fields shaping the world of technology today.
Overall, the Global Immersion Program provided an immersive learning experience in Aeronautics and Flight principles, Aircraft Anatomy and Design, Flight Mechanics, Avionics, Robotics, and hands-on laboratory sessions on Robotics, Sensors, Computational Design, Manufacturing, and Wind Tunnel experiments. Participants gained comprehensive knowledge of aircraft technologies, flight dynamics, and cutting-edge research in the field, enhancing their understanding of aviation and engineering principles through practical applications and real-world experiments.
This program gave us a taste of Singaporean culture and traditions. Traveling to the university by public bus, having our food in the local restaurants and communicating with the public to know about the city boosted our confidence to survive in a foreign country. Once we reached the university, we were divided into teams and given a research project. To aid our research and to know the technological advancement of their country, we were taken to several places like the New-water visitor centre, Air force museum, Marina Barrage desalination plant, and The Singapore Science Center. The visits were valuable as we came to know about the existing technological solutions to modern problems. This stretched our ability to think beyond various boundaries and motivated us to implement these technologies in our country.
We were given lectures about various futuristic technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and the importance of Data analysis. All these lectures were followed by a hands-on session, where we were given a problem statement and are asked to come out with solutions.
The program was shaped in a way that, apart from the academic part, it taught us various useful life skills such as communication, presentation, teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking. On the whole, it was a valuable experience and a great learning phase in a foreign environment. Programs like this will definitely enhance the thinking of students and benefit them in big time.
As I boarded the flight for my first international trip, I felt a rush of excitement - I was taking off on an adventure of a lifetime! Little did I know that this Global Immersion Program (GIX) would unlock a world of possibilities, leading me to Singapore.
Upon immersing myself in Singapore's vibrant culture, I was struck by this tiny nation's visionary 100-year plan, prioritising sustainability and innovation. It was truly awe-inspiring! At James Cook University, I gained valuable insights into the latest advancements in generative AI and Power BI. The sessions not only broadened my technical knowledge but also deepened my understanding of Singapore's eco-friendly practices and commitment to sustainability. PSGRKCW's mantra "no limitation in learning," echoed in my mind, sparking new ideas and insights.

Over the insightful 2 weeks, I engaged in enriching sessions led by the brilliant faculty at Middlesex University. The program introduced us to foundational concepts in business management and sustainability, sparking new perspectives for me as an engineering student.
One of the highlights of my experience was working on a business analysis project focused on a leading company in sustainability and waste management. Through this project, I learned how businesses can integrate technology, sustainability, and innovation to solve critical environmental challenges.
This experience has helped me develop key skills such as business analysis, critical thinking and has enhanced my inter-personal skills because of the cultural exposure I came across throughout the program. I’m excited to apply these learnings in my future endeavours.
